Housing provider A2Dominion impressed the judges with an unusual scheme in Oxford to win a prestigious First Time Buyer award, hosted by Phil Spencer of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location. Meadow Gardens, a scheme of just 30 homes which features a striking piece of artwork, was awarded Best Small Development. The awards, run by First Time Buyer magazine in conjunction with The Times newspaper, showcase the best services that have helped people to get on to the home-buy ladder.

A new housing, welfare and debt service has been launched in north Westminster to support residents struggling to cope in the troubled economic climate. Free weekly sessions for residents will be held at both A2Dominion’s Beethoven Centre in Third Avenue, Queens Park, and the One Stop Services shop in Church Street. Independent housing advice charity CHAS is being brought in to provide the new housing, welfare and debt service.
