More and more older people are being encouraged and assisted to remain living in their own homes. In doing so, they desire and deserve the full freedom of their home - irrespective of any mobility or physical limitations they may have. However, climbing and descending stairs can be a grave concern, both for these older people and their caregivers, who fear the risk and consequence of an unnecessary fall.
