  • Addastone Helps Restore Welsh Heritage  - 10/02/2009 Application

    Addagrip’s resin-bonded surface Addastone has been used in the restoration of the Grade II parkland at Bedwellty House, one of Wales’ most historic sites. Designers on the project used a natural aggregate bound with high quality resin to provide a durable, low maintenance alternative to the loose gravel which was used for the pathways in the 19th century.

  • Addastone Ideal for Heritage Restoration  - 16/12/2008 Application

    Addagrip’s resin bonded aggregate surface Addastone has been used as part of the major restoration of Weston Park, Sheffield. The project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, involved extensive restoration of the parks landscape and historic features to return the park to its former glory. The restoration of the Grade II registered landscape to the period of Robert Marnock’s design (1875) included restoration of the original extensive footpath network and museum terraces, which involved the use of reclaimed natural stone and set edging and resurfacing.

    Climate change and increasingly ‘concreted-over’ gardens and drives has led to a greater need for sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) to help prevent flooding and pollution to the water table. In response to this and customer demand, Addagrip and the A Proctor Group have jointly developed Addagrip Porous Proctor Pave, a porous and hardwearing pavement using a resin-bound finish. The Addagrip Porous Proctor Pave system will be available through Addagrip approved installers as a standard option with the Proctor Pave Gravel system.
