Cytech Europe will launch a stylish new touchscreen keypad, the KT03, in the next few months. The monochrome KT03 with a 4-inch (10 cm) LCD touchscreen has a built in speaker, microphone and infrared (IR) receiver. L Y Chiu, Director of Cytech Europe Limited, says “The KT03 has been designed to provide a compelling and appealing user interface for the Comfort Security and Home Automation System allowing the user more easily to access its powerful capabilities and to fill a gap in the market between a simple LCD keypad and the large, very expensive touchscreens.”

The Comfort Intelligent Home System now has a new, much more closely integrated interface with KNX – the worldwide standard for home and building control – the Comfort UCM/KNX from Cytech Europe. The new UCM/KNX allows KNX integrators to interface with Comfort without having to programme Responses thus not requiring an in-depth knowledge of Comfort.

Visitors to Building Research Establishment (BRE) Innovation Park at Watford can now test some of the features of the Comfort Intelligent Home System in a custom-designed demonstration unit in the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre is the first port of call for all visitors to BRE – for training courses, meetings, conferences and exhibitions. The Comfort Intelligent Home System unit demonstrates just a few of the wide range of features offered by the system.

A remote stone farmhouse on the West Pennine Moors has been given a hi-tech makeover by home automation installer Morban, featuring Cytech Europe’s Comfort Intelligent Home System. The traditional farmhouse, built in 1870, was modernised and extended as his family home by owner, Nigel -a property investor and developer. The CWM02 embedded Comfort Webserver Module allows the user to access his lighting, security and home appliances on the internet using a browser. The layout of the home or office can be displayed with icons for lights, air-conditioners, heaters, doors, windows, motion detectors and cameras. The display of the icons changes in real time according to their state at that time.

Cytech Europe Limited announces the launch of new door stations and keypads for their Comfort Intelligent Home System. Comfort links voice prompted home security with all aspects of smart home technology in one system. The new DS01 door station comes with microphone or microphone and camera versions and can be wall or flush mounted. There is a choice of mono or colour camera. The new Comfort keypads in aluminium or white finish have been re-styled visually with improved speaker area and updated icons on the rubber buttons.
